Vincent Marc, more publicly known as Marc, is a Black queer creative director, stylist & photographer. Born and raised in North Philadelphia, Marc became engulfed in the Black culture offered by the city of “Brotherly Love”, leading him down a path of following his passion and talent for creating.  A visionary at heart, Marc’s work explores the themes of identity, sexuality, fantasy and community, pushing beyond the boundaries of traditional storytelling, showcasing Black art in a way that speaks to the mind, body, and soul.

Early in his career, Marc got his feet wet in the fashion industry working for Streamline Model Management. His attention to detail and impeccable ability to transform sets and styling into works of art allowed him to work on editorial shoots and campaigns featured in Bello Magazine, and the iconic Ebony Magazine.

Marc quickly became infatuated with the photography aspect of fashion, painstakingly taking notes while feeling a sense of urgency to push his creative genius a step further into a new medium. After years of watching how the clothes and models came to life in front of others lens, Marc decided to pick up the camera himself, developing the natural talent for photography that always lived within.

From this passion, “Marc My Style”, the photo and fashion blog was officially born. Marc’s photography immediately caught the eyes of many as his work pushed beyond the limits of imagination. His whimsical set designs and immaculate editing made him sought after by magazines and community alike. His first solo photography exhibition in 2015 titled BLACK SKIN (Empowering Him), reflected on police brutality amongst Black men, exploring the positive and negative depictions of Black men through a series of creative portraiture and photo journalism.

Marc’s ongoing series entitled “The New Crown” uses Durags to symbolize the aesthetics of a crown, showcasing royalty, empowerment and togetherness amongst community. This series’ soon coming exhibition will highlight the beauty of centering Blackness, and the connectedness of Black queerness while rejecting the negative connotations our community receives for wearing them. Marc’s work continues to be published in a variety of major media formats including publications LUCY, Obvious Mag, Elegant Magazine, Volant, Bossman Magazine and the illustrious Vogue China. His work was also featured in the coffee table book “Our Light Through Darkness” and the window’s of the West Elm.

Never one to stop the expansion of his vision, he now embarks on a new journey and title that has been decades in the making. Now wearing the hat as a “designer”, his newest effort will be his first fashion collection called “Capsule”. The collection’s motto of “There’s so much pride in just being Black” aims to infuse his love of photography with clothing, marrying the two as “wearable art”.
